The Convention | 1. In this law - "The Convention" - The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, signed in Vienna on 11th April 1980. |
Applying the provisions of the Convention | 2. The provisions of the Convention as per the addendum will have the validity of the Law. |
Broadening the Application | 3. Further to the aforesaid in Section 1 of the Convention, the provisions of the Convention will also apply to a contract where the place of business of a party thereto is located in a country which is not a party to the Convention. |
Execution | 4. The Minister of Justice is responsible for the execution of this Law. |
Cancellations | 5. The Sales (International Sale of. Goods) Law 1971, and the Sales (Concluding of Contracts for International Sale of. Goods) Law 1978 are hereby repealed. |
Intermediate Provisions | 6. With regards to contracts for International Sale of Goods which were concluded prior to coming into force of this law, the previous Law will apply. . |
Commencement | 7. This Law will come into force 3 months following its publication. |
