On 6th December 2006 the firm conducted a seminar hosting the leading loss adjusters of the Israeli insurance market.
Recent judgements on insurance disputes were reviewed and issues relating to loss adjusters' reports were discussed at the seminar.
Adv. Rachel Levitan led an open discussion on direct and consequential loss.
A lecture was given by Adv. Peggy Sharon on the question of whether adjusters' conclusions bind the insurers as admissions, and on recent developments regarding claims for consequential loss, due to non-payment of insurance benefits.
Adv. Tammy Greenberg lectured on the exposure of loss adjusters to direct claims for negligence, and the directive of the Commissioner of Insurance requiring detailed letters of declination to be issued.
Adv. Dror Zamir lecture on multiple deductibles and physical loss.
A lecture on the subject of causal connection between diseases and pollution and whether adjusters reports are privileged was given by Adv. Sharon Shefer.
Adv. Moshe Abady lectured on the burden of proof of intentional acts.
