AIDA Conference The annual conference of AIDA Israel took place on Thursday, 8 September 2011, at the Hilton Tel Aviv Hotel. The conference was organized Adv. Peggy Sharon and by Adv. Peter Gad Naschitz, both are members of the AIDA International Presidential Council. This year, for the first time, the conference was attended by the AIDA International Presidential Council members, including its president, Mr. Michael Gill of Australia. After competing with Greece, Turkey and Morocco to host the AIDA Conference in their respective countries, it was Adv. Peggy Sharon who convinced the Presidential Council to hold the conference in Israel. Over 130 attendees from South America, Australia, Japan, Turkey, Morocco, Greece, UK, Finland and Israel attended and enjoyed the conference.

D&O 2011 Insurance Seminar for the Israeli Insurance Market Print E-mail

On 3rd April 2011 Levitan, Sharon & Co. held their D&O Seminar at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv. The Seminar included the following lectures presented to the Israeli Insurance Market in respect of new laws and judgements and their implication on the exposure of D&O Insurers:

 *           Adv. Moshe Abady, the opening lecture: "Exposure to Class Actions and Derivative Claims in light of the amendments to the law and new court judgements".

 *           Adv. Peggy Sharon: Withdrawals and settlements in Class Action suits - review of recent Court cases.  

*           Adv. Anat Kastenbaum: Head of D&O and Liabilities Underwriting Department of the Ayalon Insurance Company Ltd.: Legal Changes in the USA following the latest D&O Plus Seminar. 

*           Adv. Addy Margalit: Company Claims against its D&Os, and the importance of the Exclusions of D&O Policies.  

*           Adv. Yael Navon and Adv. Rachel Levitan: "Notification to the Insurers on Circumstances which may lead to a Claim – When should it be made?"  

*           Adv. Moshe Abady and Adv. Rachel Levitan:  An overview on the various Types of Claims which were heard over the past year.
