Adv. Sharon Shefer, contributed the Israeli chapter to a publication of a Multi-Jurisdictional guide to litigation costs (published in March 2010) under the name "At What Cost?" - a Lovells Multi-Jurisdictional Guide to litigation costs.
On 4th June 2009, Levitan, Sharon & Co. held their Annual Seminar at the Dan Panorama Hotel for the Israeli Insurance Market which was attended by more than 150 of the managers and leading attorneys of the claims departments of all leading insurance companies and insurance agencies.
A variety of lectures were given on the issue of damages resulting from non payment of insurance benefits on time (the Haifa District Court ruling in the Sky Club matter):
· Adv. Peggy Sharon and Adv. Rachel Levitan presented different views (pro and con) on the issue of declination of coverage by an insurer that was reversed by the Court (a breach of contract - or a legitimate denial?).
· Adv. Jonathan Sacher of Barlow Lyde & Gilbert gave a lecture on declination of an insured's claim by Insurers under the UK Law.
· Adv. Tammy Greenberg, Adv. Sharon Shefer and Adv. Moshe Abady lectured on aspects in the various insurance branches: Property, Liability and Personal Insurance.
Adv. Irit Shapira Weber lectured on the effect of the decisions of the Commissioner of Insurance on Reinsurers.
Adv. Dror Zamir lectured on embezzlement and fraud covered by Crime Policies.
