December 2005
- Adv. Sharon Shefer was invited to participate in a convention conducted by the Israel Bar Association in Tel Aviv at which she lectured on Pollution Liability.
- The firm's Annual Seminar with over 200 attendees from the insurance industry. The lecturers included:
• Adv. Tammy Greenberg - 'Imposing Contributory Blame on an Insured'.
• Adv. Sharon Shefer - 'The Ability of Adjoining the National Insurance Institute as a Co-defendant to On-going Litigation'.
• Adv. Dror Zamir - 'Developments in Civil Tort Claims - Distribution of Liability between Defendants'
• Adv. Irit Shapira Weber and Adv. Rachel Levitan lectured on 'Reinsurance Coverage in the event of Mass Tort'.
• Adv. Peggy Sharon - 'Class Action in Tort'
September 2005
- Adv. Rachel Levitan and Adv. Dror Zamir attended the International Bar Association (IBA) Conference which was held in Prague, Czech Republic (25-30th September, 2005). Adv. Levitan, who is a member of the International Bar Association, represents the Israel Bar Association.
- Adv. Zamir also participated in a panel which discussed the status of non-direct parties to an insurance contract, and direct privity in third party claims. During the discussions Adv. Zamir reviewed the Israeli law and precedents which relate to several aspects of the above issue.
Furthermore, Adv. Zamir participated in a panel set up by the Negligence and Damage Committee in a session on Liability for Professional Malpractice.
June 2005
- 24 June 2005: Rachel Levitan, Moshe Abady and Peggy Sharon lectured on D&O issues from the Israeli perspective at a seminar in London organized and held at Aon Limited.
- 22 June 2005: Rachel Levitan, Peggy Sharon and Sharon Shefer participated in a panel of international law firms on issues relating to JB claims, hosted in London by GE Insurance Solutions.
- Adv. Sharon Shefer lectured at the conference on the subject of 'Israeli Law - Diamond Claims' including special references provided by the law in respect of Jewellers Block Policies.
