October 2004

• Adv. Rachel Levitan and Adv. Dror Zamir attended the International Bar Association (IBA) Conference which was held in Auckland, New Zealand from 24th to 29th October 2004. Adv. Levitan represent the Israeli Bar at the said institute.

Both Adv. Levitan and Adv. Zamir are members of the IBA and they participated in the Insurance Committee.

Adv. Zamir participated in a panel regarding Professional Indemnity of Brokers and reviewed the Israeli law and precedents in several aspects related to brokers.

• On 28th October 2004, Adv. Peggy Sharon gave a lecture on the legal aspects of Failure Analysis - the Causal Connection, at the Conference of the Engineers Association on Failure Analysis in Aviation, Maritime and the Industry.
  
  
• On 12 October, Adv. Tammy Greenberg lectured to the members of the Weed Science Society of Israel. The lecture dealt with the legal aspects of using herbicides and pesticides, such as claims against manufactures and sprayers.

September 2004

• Adv. Rachel Levitan lectured to company officers regarding their legal duties and risks. Lecture organized by the Institute for Managers (M.I.L.).

• Adv. Rachel Levitan - Lectured to Clal Insurance Co.'s clients -  Major D&O's from various industries

• The Annual Seminar organized by the firm with over 200 attendees from the insurance industry. The lecturers included:

• Adv. Tammy Greenberg - Limitation Period in Insurance Claims

• Adv. Sharon Shefer - Occupational Hazards and Diseases

• Adv. Dror Zamir - Product Liability - Recent Developments in Claims

• Adv. Irit Shapira Weber - Recent Developments in Reinsurance Judgements

• Adv. Peggy Sharon - Clinical Trials in Israel and the USA - Law and Practice

• Adv. Rachel Levitan - the new Israeli Civil Codification

July 2004

• Adv. Rachel Levitan lectured at a seminar organized by the Israeli Institute for Managers (M.I.L.) attended by members of the boards of directors of various companies in Israel on D&O Risks and Exposures. 
       
• At the Conference of American Insurers and Brokers which was held at Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A.,        Adv. Peggy Sharon lectured on:   

'Clinical Trials in Israeli Law' - practice and insurance aspects. 
Product Liability - Insurance Aspects in Israel.

Adv. Rachel Levitan lectured on:

D&O, the Israeli Perspective  - Claims Statistics from the  Aspect of Law  and        Insurance.

• Adv. Levitan lectured at a seminar conducted for credit and mortgageofficers of the First International Bank of Israel Ltd., concerning the bank's liability towards its clients in respect of Construction Project Financing.
