The Foundations of Law, 1980 |

1. Where the court, faced with a legal issue requiring determination, finds no answer thereto in the statues or case law or by analogy, it will determine in the light of the principles of freedom, justice, equity and peace of Israel's heritage.

Supplementary Sources of Law

2. (a) Article 46 of the Palestine Order in Council, 1922-1947, is hereby repealed.
(b) The provision of subsection (a) will not derogate from the law which was integrated into the Law in Israel before this Law came into effect.
