Sale (International Sale of Goods) Law - 1999

1. In this law -
"The Convention" - The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, signed in Vienna on 11th April 1980.

The Convention

2. The provisions of the Convention as per the addendum will have the validity of the Law.
|
|
Applying the provisions of the Convention
|
|
3. Further to the aforesaid in Section 1 of the Convention, the provisions of the Convention will also apply to a contract where the place of business of a party thereto is located in a country which is not a party to the Convention.

|
Broadening the Application
|
|
4. The Minister of Justice is responsible for the execution of this Law.
|
|
Execution
|
|
5. The Sales (International Sale of. Goods) Law 1971, and the Sales (Concluding of Contracts for International Sale of. Goods) Law 1978 are hereby repealed.
|
|
Cancellations
|
|
6. With regards to contracts for International Sale of Goods which were concluded prior to coming into force of this law, the previous Law will apply.

Intermediate Provisions
|
|
7. This Law will come into force 3 months following its publication.
