(Format for Presentation of Notice) – 2005
According to the authority vested in me, under clause 8A(c) of the Restriction of Advertising and Marketing Tobacco Products for Smoking Law - 1983 (hereinafter: the Law), and with the approval of the Knesset's Finance Committee according to clause 21A(a) of the Basic Law: the Knesset, and clause 2 (b) of the Penal Law - 1977, I regulate the following regulations:
1. Format for Presentation of Advertisement
The said advertisement according to paragraph 8A(c) of the Law will be presented on a signboard with wording and in the format as stated in the supplement and all the following must apply:
(1) It will be positioned in a clearly visible location and not be obstructed by any other object;
(2) The dimensions will be 40x50 cm.
(3) The signboard will be manufactured of a rigid material, excluding cardboard;
(4) The colours of the advertisement will be:
(a) Background - white;
(b) Lettering - black;
(c) Logo - red, white, and black.
2. Commencement
Commencement date of these Regulations - two months from date of publication.
Supplement
[Regulation 1]
"Sale of cigarettes and all tobacco products is prohibited to persons under the age of 18.
The offender is liable to a fine!
In case of doubt, the seller must demand presentation of a certificate of identification.
The prohibition includes tobacco for a nargilah, cigars, and others".
